The Headset Adapter provides the interface between the user’s lightweight headset and the DCT1900 Portable Telephone. This adapter attaches to the bottom of the DCT1900 handset. The 2.5mm plug of a DCT1900 headset is then inserted into the female connector on the adapter.
If a headset is used that has a Hookswitch button, the Headset Adapter will detect the hookswitch. This will allow users to answer, initiate, and terminate calls without touching the handset.
